Life Goals

A friend of mine has been on this wonderous kick the past few months were she is setting acheivable goals, a timeline to complete them in and then goes at it. She recently did 30 days to clean (to clean her house) and is about to start 101 Goals in 1001 days. http://hawklady-sarahsblog.blogspot.com

So this has inspired me to make my own list, granted I am not ready to do 101 things, especially with a new baby, and the fact that I am lazy, I am ready to make a short achievable list that I can accomplish by the end of next year. Why wait until New Years, lets start now! Now, not only do I have a list, but I am anal and I even broke it out into mini-steps to achieve my goals. I think this is very important! If you don't have mini-goals, the over arching goal seems either unattainable...or a week from your deadline you remember you haven't done anything! So here is my list, with a breakout for how to achieve them:

  1. Learn to fly fish or bass fish: Look into lessons at local outdoors store

  2. Become a proficent sewer: have monthly projects

  3. Better understand ANG & AF Reserves nueances: make a list of regs to read

  4. Go camping

  5. Finish SOS: Test #1 - Dec; Test #2 - Mar; Test #3 - Jun

  6. Run in a 5k and/or become a regular 5k runner: run twice a week

  7. Fix military records (get time in Iraq to reflect as an actual DEPLOYMENT!)

So there is my list, hopefully I will actually complete what I set out for myself! The hardest part for some of these will be building the habit, and taking the time.
